The book I chose to read is Blue Shoes and Happiness. It is a followup to The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency and is written by Alexander McCall Smith. The main character is Mma Ramotswe who is a private detective in Botswana. I am about sixty pages into the book and so far it is very enjoyable, it is a very pleasant story the kind you want to read before you sleep. I think one of the reasons that i like it is that the book includes a lot of Mma Ramotswe’s inner monologue and that she is very agreeable. Mma ramotswe is married to Mr J. L. B. Matekoni who is a car mechanic. She runs the No.1 ladies detective agency with Mma Makutsi who is her secretary and their first case who they are about to solve is a blackmail situation at a restaurant.
